To get Bear Mail click on your PDA.

  1. Click on your PDA (the cell phone icon next to the backpack icon in the lower right side.
  2. When the Menu pops up click on the Quote icon (top left icon)

  4. Click on the message to read it.
  5. If you see a number next to the little green paw print that means someone sent Bear Bills with the message. If you see an item, they sent that too! Click on each of the items and the green paw print to add them to your My Stuff.
  6. Click Reply to reply – you will have to add a new title.
  7. Click Delete to delete.
  8. Click Back to List to read the rest of your mail.
  9. Click New Message to send a message.
  10. You can only send messages to those on your friends list.
  11. To add gifts, click Add Items, click on the item in your own My Stuff that shows up then click the Blue Paw Print in the middle that says DONE when your done adding items.
  12. Slick Send when you are ready.

Be careful with the young ones. Anyone that has you on their friends list can send Bear Mail to you. (If you remove them you are also removed from their list, that might help). People have also been sending requests for passwords in Bear Mail – report them and do not respond!!

Here are a few things I discovered when sending items through Bear Mail:

  • I sent an item with the title that said Blog and the content said Day.
  • When the other account opened the Bear Mail, since Blog and Day are words that didn’t make sense the message title said “Bear” and the message said “I love Bears”! (cute I thought and very safe for kids!)
  • The item was there but instead of clicking on it I deleted it. I went back to the open chat account that had sent the item and the item WAS in inventory. YEAH!!
  • When the account with the mail deleted the item the PDA lit up but did not blink on the sender’s mail. I opened up mail and there was no message.
  • I repeated this back and forth a few times and I can confirm that the item does go back to the sender’s inventory!

I had about 7 bear mails from some girl wanting my tiara. I never responded because I had walked away from the computer at the time. She got nastier with each bear mail. The last one said “You better answer me now! I’m going to get made at you.”
This made me think of another time a girl was harrassing someone on BABV and kept saying if they didn’t trade then they would report the person. What happens if you get reported and you didn’t really do anything?

LOL, there was this boy that was playing a game with me and my sister. Then, my sister looked in her bear mail and there was this mail from the boy, but it said “I love bears!” as the title and all that was inside was also “I love bears!” then my sister closed her bear mail and looked at it again. Then the mail the boy gave her said “Thanks for the game!” as he title instead of “i love bears!” and inside said “That was a fun game we played. Thanks for playing!” instead of “I love bears!” just thought you might like to know.

I think when you get reported for something you did or didn’t do then they usually investigate and if you are found innocent then the person who sent the false report gets in trouble.

Yes I know what you mean starbit15, Once when I was new to BABV someone said (before bear mail was invented) “First you give me the maxine ski hat and after i will trade my tiara”. I completely agreed as I was new and I never got my tiara. It still makes me mad!!! 😀

The other person often dosen’t give you the item when you have given them stuff through bear-mail.Trust me it is a no-win situation! The only bear-mail trades a trust are with you guys.
