Build-A-Bear is aware of the issues with the Topaz Gem Bear topaz tiara! I emailed them when I got a pink tiara for completing the quest with the Topaz Gem Bear. My Topaz tiara showed up this morning in My Stuff and I received the following email response:

LOL that is funny! My computer was being really weird because I have to many friends (like the friends list popping up and down all by itself) and Bearemy’s hat was switching from his normal one to the sombrero! This was about a week ago!

She is right! Do not do the quest with the lab!! I did and got a people dog bed. It is better than getting 500 in place of the gold tiara! But I also got my gold tiara today. Odd… I recieved the same e-mail. LOL
sarahbear371 - I saw the same… and thought what is that!!! Same with the Topaz bear. I saw it and did the quest, and then later that day it was gone. No one believed me, until every gem was where I said.
I like the glitch…

I LOVE the tote. It’s a really cute size. We hit the jackpot today too because they have the May calendars on the counter. SOOOO, we have a bunch of codes for guitars. If you see me online and need a guitar, bear mail me and I’ll meet you in the bear stuff shop and transfer a guitar to you - but only if you don’t have one already! And I won’t be in BABV until tonight.
Also, we saw the new Panda in person and he is SO cute. I see another BABW visit in our future.

i figured out how to do it..you click on add items when you are sending bear mail..your inventory comes up and you click on the items you want to send

Oh jess, that is so nice if you! I’m glad for you. I have one already. Severe Thunderstorms just passed my house. I thought there was going to be a tornado while we were watching the kantucky durby at home. I feel SOOOOO bad for eight bells! He died!!!!

i had a great day today. We went on a Dog Walk to support the Humane society and after the walk they had contests for dogs, my dog sings with us and we almost won that one! Another one was for dogs in costumes…..I got to thinking that a Build-A-Bear costume would probably fit my little Jack Russel! He usually wears one for Halloween, he was a vampire one year and superman another but now that he’s older he prefers the Harley sweater LOL. I’ll have to check it out to see if they fit.
I usually watch the KY Derby but I just got home, Did Eight Bells die in the race? I’m so sad to hear that.

kaelynmarch, we were in the right place at the right time. Had a wonderful BABW associate so that made things easier. There was no purchase to get the calendars. They were just sitting on the calendar. Probably they had way too many and the May 15th deadline is coming so they need to get rid of them. The code might not work after the 15th.
Ok, I have 3 guitars left. MillieDiva10, Melissabearish1, and dianaRockStar9 - you spoke up first but the trick is for you to catch me since you can’t bear mail me.

Just had to get on and do a shout out for my friend KelleySunshine! You will never guess what she did for me! I’ve kind of been banned from Build a Bear for a little while after my oldest’s recent birthday, so I wasn’t going to be able to go get the tote (which, yes I’m crazy, I wanted really bad). When the smoke started coming out of my husbands ears after he saw the total, I knew it was going to happen.
Anyway, she went today and got me one!!! Sunshine you are the absolute best!!!

faith, my husband’s in St. Louis for business and I’ve given him the locations of every BABW around there and told him he had to get us some special items from there. We HAVE to have them. LOL I know he thinks I’m crazy but let’s see if he really does it.

This is for anyone who wants to play B2B games tomorrow, especially Francescabearpaw1… I will be on BABV tomorrow at noon EST. I tend to hand out in the WAterfall server near the pond fishing or playing words 4 the birds. It would be great to meet up with some blog friends & play games!

I also love the tote! It’s the perfect size. My son got me a honey cub bear for Mother’s Day yesterday - it’s all I wanted, or something homemade which he is working on in shop class! We thought Mother’s Day was today!

Yes I meant by my husband. LOL! He doesn’t get our fascination with BAB and we don’t get his fascination for fishing, but we try to make it work anyway. He was a “little” concerned with our purchases the last time. We always promise before we go that we just want the bears. Absolutely no accessories. However, it doesn’t take my girls long to talk him in to dresses and shoes, etc.

Ladies, you are just not doing this right. Use guilt. My husband actually went to BABW by himself yesterday. The girls in the store got a kick out of him. He said they put a whole bunch of goodies in his bag, like Welcome Passes and all. He’s in St. Louis for business and we told him he needed to go to one of the St. Louis stores this weekend and buy some accessories that are only from that area. And we told him to make sure he got the tote if he spent $15. He had never gone all weekend. Doing stuff like driving around, eating out, socializing. Then he called 5pm St. Louis time and told us how he went to a car race and all. So I said “You couldn’t even go to BABW for us”. He called at 5:45 (they closed at 6) from the BABW store to ask us which of the St. Louis items we wanted

You guys have made me feel so much better!!! My husband doesn’t believe me when I tell him that I am not the only adult or mother hooked on babw. He has tried to “ban” me, but somehow he still lets me keep going…it helps to have my daughter on my side (even if I do enjoy it more than she does lol)!!!

I guess I am pretty lucky with my husband, he the ones that buys all of my bears!He even proposed with a bear! We celebrated our 1st anniversary yesterday and I will be receiving a new bear when we go on a vacation in a couple weeks! He said he wnated to wait to see if there was any new stuff at a diffrent BAB!!

I have to agree with Kelleysunshine. I am so glad I’m not the only one out there fighting the “man” (so to speak). LOL! Anyway, I just tell him when he gives me that “you are so crazy” look… “And how much did you spend on your boat, honey?” He often doesn’t have much to say after that. You know (please forgive me, I am NOT tooting my own horn here), I am glad there are parents out there on BABV like me. I look out for others. There have been several times I had to step in and say something when someone was ganging up on a kid trying to get them to trade or saying mean things to them. I’m not afraid to get all “mama” with the kids out there that would come to these sites and be bullies. I’ve seen others do it to, so it makes me fell better about letting my kids play on it. I know there are others out there in the great big world that are looking out for them.
Okay, I’m off my soap box. It is just the only argument that I can come up with for being as old as I am (ahh come on I’m not really that old, though my kid disaggrees) and playing a kids game I guess. So… am I crazy? I sure hope not. If I am, hey at least it’s fun.

kitten, thanks for another fun game. You have the cutest ideas. We had fun. Next time, we shoul make the areas smaller than the map, like the fishing instead of the entire park, the coffee shop, etc. Would make the guessing harder.

Is it safe to complete the animal adventure with the black lab? Has there been any problems with other bears? I’m going to BABW tomorrow for a new bear (sort of a finals gift to myself) and I was curious if people were having troubles.
The only trouble I’m having to deciding which bear to get. It’s between Champ (already have one), Read, and Bearemy.
Decisions, decisions.

D’oh! I knew I shouldn’t have looked. Curiousity got the best of me. It’s going to be a boy named Guy (pronounced Gee) Bear. It’d be weird for a dog to be named bear (unless it is massive). Now it’s between Read and Traveling Teddy. This is the first time I’ve ever had to do research before getting a stuffed animal!
Besides Midnite the black lab, I also have Stanley (Champ). I’m planning on getting the Panda next month.
